I’m so excited to be the art teacher at TCCA! I am passionate about art, creativity, and most of all, helping students discover the gifts and talents God has given them. I earned my bachelor’s degree in fine art from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and my teaching degree in art education from Millersville University. I’ve always loved the way that Art can connect us with the world around us, and I enjoy bringing that same sense of wonder and discovery into my Classroom.

My husband, Matthew, and I are especially excited to be part of the TCCA family.  Our two boys, Mark and Luke, will be attending school here as well, making this community even more special to our family.  We feel incredibly blessed that God has led us to TCCA!

In my classroom, I love connecting art to other areas of learning.  Younger students will often explore art through wonderful books and stories, while older students will build artistic skills, confidence, creativity, and the courage to take risks in their work.  I also enjoy incorporating science, math, engineering, and problem-solving whenever I can.  Recently, I was blessed to receive a STEM grant for cardboard-cutting materials, and I can’t wait to see what my students create with these new tools!

My goal for the art room is to be a place where students feel encouraged to create, explore, make mistakes, try again, and recognize that creativity is one of the many wonderful ways God has equipped us to serve and glorify Him. 

I am truly looking forward to an incredible year of creating, learning, and growing together!
