I’m so happy to be teaching first grade this year at TCCA! I’ve been in Christian education, either as a student or a teacher, for twelve years, and it has been a great blessing in my life. I have a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from Baptist University of America, and I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University. I have 11 years of teaching experience in the classroom; I’ve taught kindergarten, second, third, fourth, and fifth grades. I also have eleven years of homeschooling my two children.
I’ve been married to Jimmy, who is a born and bred Aikenite, for almost 25 years. We have two children in college, Austin and Sarah Grace. We also have an adorable fur baby, Rascal, our Cockapoo.
We are active members of Talatha Baptist Church. I’m involved in the children’s ministry, choir, missions, and I serve on the decorating committee. Our church family is very special to us. Missions hold a special place in my heart as well, and I’ve been on many trips from Central America to Africa.
I love traveling, decorating, most outdoor activities, being around the water, and just hanging out with my husband.
Proverbs 3:5&6 – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
